Acara HATN di Jakarta berlangsung Kamis 31 Oktober 2019 di Gedung Dinas Teknis Pemda DKI Jakarta yang merupakan kantor Dinas Ketahanan Pangan, Kelautan dan Pertanian (KPKP). Dalam acara ini sekitar 150 orang anggota PKK Provinsi hadir untuk mendengarkan materi kampanye gizi yang menghadirkan narasumber Drh. Gunawan Budi Utomo (FAO), Drh. Rakhmat Nuriyanto (ASOHI), Drh. Rani Erlina (Pusat Pelayanan Kesehatan Hewan dan Peternakan Dinas KPKP DKI), Naryanto (Ketua Pinsar Bidang Unggas Lokal) dan Rosmiati Bachroni Rais (Asisten Produksi PD Dharmajaya). Acara kampanye gizi dipandu oleh Bambang Suharno (Infovet, Panitia HATN).
“Kami mengajak ibu-ibu PKK berperan serta, mengingat peran mereka sangat besar dalam penyediaan menu keluarga sehari-hari, ” kata Ketua Pelaksana HATN 2019, Ricky Bangsaratoe, disela acara kampanye gizi ayam dan telur, di Jakarta.
Enam pembicara yang tampil memaparkan mulai dari proses produksi daging ayam dan telur di tingkat pembudidaya hingga tatacara proses penyimpanannya di tingkat konsumen termasuk penjelasan seputar kandungan gizi dari kedua produk unggas tersebut. Tak seperti biasanya kali ini ditampilkan pelaku usaha pembibitan ayam kampung, Nariyanto yang memaparkan keunggulan dari ayam kampung.
Banyaknya lontaran pertanyaan dan pernyataan dari para peserta di sesi tanyajawab menjadikan acara kampanye kian seru dan cukup memberikan gambaran bahwa ternyata masih terdapat persepsi keliru di kalangan ibu rumah tangga di kotabesar yang notabene umumnya dari kalangan ekonomi menengah keatas.

“Pandangan bahwa harga produk unggas mahal tak berdasar. Karena kalau kita hitung harga per butir telur saat ini hanya sekitarRp 1.500 takjauh beda dengan sebuah kerupuk yang nilai gizinya jauh lebih rendah dari telur,” jelas Rachmat Nuriyanto, Ketua Umum ASOHI periode 2010-2015.
Mengenai adanya pendapat bahwa daging ayam mengandung hormon , Rachmat yang saat ini menjabat Dewan Penasehat ASOHI menegaskan bahwa sudah lama pemerintah melarang ternak ayam yang dibudidayakan disuntik hormon untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan ayam. Karena itu ia menjamin bahwa saat ini daging ayam sangat aman dikonsumsi baik oleh anak-anak maupun orang dewasa. Rakhmat juga menegaskan, “harga hormon itu mahal, bisa mencapai 5 USD, nggak mungkin peternak mau menggunakannya”.
Ia juga mengemukakan bahwa tak benar bila ada yang berpendapat telah beredar di pasaran telur palsu. Yang benar adalah memang kadang di pasaran dijumpai telur yang berasal dari usaha pembibitan ayam atau biasa disebut telur bertunas. Telur ini bukan berasal dari peternakan ayam raspetelur sehingga biasanya di bagian tengahnya terdapat semacam titik atau bercakdarah.
“Telur kadang menjadi seperti tidak normal karena kuning telurnya hampir menyatu dengan putih telur. Ini menandakan telur sudah terlalu lama disimpan di suhuruang. Yang begini jelas bukan telur palsu, tetapi teksturnya menjadi berubah karena pengaruh lama penyimpanan,” tutur Rachmat.
